Assignment 1
I have chosen to follow the pro-life movement. As part of the pro-life movement, I must also address the “enemies” of my movement, thus being abortion. Abortion has been around just as long as giving birth has been around. Abortion can be dated as far as the primitive paintings and writings. We also have evidence of laws that allow and prohibit abortion as far back as 400 BCE forward. Abortion is a culmination of many different aspects. Historically abortion was preformed in order to maintain ones virgin status because any sexual relations outside of wedlock were strictly forbidden and shame was cast upon the family. Throughout history, the topic of abortion was always maintained a “hush hush” subject amongst societies. As societies developed and changed so did abortion and its influence upon cultures. Abortion has become far more accepted and practiced over the last century. We as a people have become culturally and emotionally more accepting of such a disgusting practice, abortion.

Not only has history changed our outlook of abortion, but also so has society. Society has played a major role in the pre-life movement because it has lowered the discrimination against women in the work place. Society has tried to tell women that they cannot reach success in the work place without giving up their family life. Society has placed pressures on women an in a sense have inhibited them from maintain a happy family and career. With society infringing such pressure upon women and the right to child bearing, more and more women are forced to choose abortion.

I believe that the cost for such liberalism of abortion can be traced to influential leaders throughout time. Abortion has been portrayed in the media, sports industry, and different liberal organizations as a cool and accepted practice. The media portrays sexuality as something cool and exiting, but conveniently forgets to set responsibilities upon the outcome. Engaging in sexual activities can result in unplanned pregnancies and the answer is not abortion the answer is planning and or taking precautionary steps in order to avoid such outcome. Our laws have and continue to play a major role in our decision to Life. For example, our president by reversing the abortion-funding policy has taken the value of life and in not so many words devaluing it.
Obama reverses abortion-funding policy
President Obama says he doesn't want family planning to be used as a "political wedge."
President Obama says he doesn't want family planning to be used as a "political wedge."

Our society has become a “drive-thru” society in its doings and thinking. Thus, when an individual becomes pregnant our society has taught it to seek for a “drive-thru” solution, abortion.
These three events, (Abortion, women in the work place, Media) have affected and continue to affect my movement, because these enemies are extremely persuasive and can even give illusions.
What is abortion? Abortion is taking the life of another (murder).
